Shelley Freeman is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She obtained
her BSN from the University of Texas, Arlington. Then went on to complete her MSN at
National University. She has over a decade of experience supporting individuals in the field, her
career has allowed her to work in diverse settings—including crisis stabilization, acute inpatient
psychiatry, dual diagnosis treatment, and correctional mental health—which has given her a deep
understanding of the unique challenges people face when seeking help.
At the heart of her practice is compassion and collaboration. She believes that every person
deserves to be heard, valued, and supported on their journey toward wellness. Her approach
combines evidence-based medication management with supportive and empathetic care tailored
to each individual’s needs. She is devoted to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where
patients can explore their struggles and strengths while working toward improved mental
wellness.
Her goal is to partner with patients in developing treatment plans that reflect their values, goals,
and personal circumstances—empowering them to move forward with confidence and dignity.
